I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
The first step of improving your search engine optimization is an SEO Audit. Using a checklist as a template, I will examine your site for various on-site and off-site SEO opportunities.
The SEO audit report that is returned to you will tell you how you are doing in these areas, and will give you specific recommendations for improvements. Take this report and ask your in-house team to make the changes, hire someone else, or contact me to update your site and improve your rankings.
If you’ve been to my Earlybird Whiteboarding sessions at Affiliate Summit, the advise I give there (over the course of an hour and many different sites) is similar to what you can expect from an SEO audit of your site.
To start, I need
- Your URL
- Keywords you’d like to rank for
- Who you think your competition is
- (if it isn’t clear from the website) What you do / what you sell / who your customer is
- Access to your stats and Google Webmaster Tools (email@example.com)
Email me this information, and send a PayPal payment of $500 to firstname.lastname@example.org. I’ll reply with an ETA (typically 1 week turn-around) and we’ll schedule a 15-minute call for any follow-up questions.
